The Uga Benzaiten Music Festival is held every year at Uga Shrine, which sits on an island in Lake Nojiri. In the unique and tranquil environment of Uga Shrine, this music festival is dedicated to Uga Benzaiten, who is in charge of water, bountiful harvests, and the arts.
This year, I will be performing with crystal bowl harpist Amiga. In my meditation session, I will guide to connect your mind and body, and then practice self-healing meditation. Then, Amiga's soothing performance will take you deeper into the world of healing. It will be a very soothing precious time. It's a little far from Tokyo, but it's worth coming.
This shrine enshrines the dragon god, and the photo of the sky I took on the way back from last year's music festival looked just like the dragon god! I'll never forget this view from the somewhat mystical, quiet lakeside.
Uga Shrine is located on a small island in the middle of Lake Nojiri, so you have to take a boat to get there. It is said that the purification ritual begins from there, and as you approach the island, you will feel your mind calm down. If you don't have plans for the weekend yet, please make the effort to visit.
