The Uga Benzaiten Music Festival is held every year at Uga Shrine, which sits on an island in Lake Nojiri. In the unique and tranquil environment of Uga Shrine, the festival is dedicated to Uga Benzaiten, who is in charge of water, bountiful harvests, and the arts.
The joint meditation and crystal bowl performance with Amiga, a crystal bowl harpist, was very mystical, and I felt like the sound was permeating the lake. I heard that the sound was actually picked up by a microphone, and that it was fantastic to hear it reverberating through the lake.
This was my first time doing this at a shrine, and I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for being able to share this time with everyone here, with one heart. I hope the dragon god can feel it too. I hope I can come back next year to report on my growth.
